Frank Steinberg was interviewed in connection with the anticipated reinstatement of the Temporary Flight Restrictions over President Trump's golf course in Bedminster, NJ.  Frank spoke in his capacities as pilot, aviation attorney, and President of the Mid-Atlantic Aviation Coalition.  The TFR is in effect whenever the President is in Bedminster, approximately 40 days in 2017, and is intended to aid in providing security for him.

As Frank noted, “none of us, obviously, want to see this president or any president put in any kind of danger, but by the same token, we don't think there is a significant risk here.”  There are ways to ensure security without running roughshod over the rights of pilots and doing economic damage to local airports.
